Barnes kicked off their debut season with an impressive 5-1 win away from home against South West Athletic.

It turned out to be a tough game for Barnes but well taken goals from Abdi, Jake (2), Tom Shuttle and Alex meant that Barnes came away with a comprehensive victory.

Barnes will be disappointed they couldn’t get a clean sheet but 3 points on the opening day has set the standards for the season and will help them kick on from here.

Barnes could have had more as they hit the woodwork multiple times from a free kick and a long range drive. A quality effort from the boys who move onto next weeks fixture.
